What is Michael Jackson’s Greatest Legacy to The World?
Michael Jackson passed away at age 50. There is so much been said about him, this newsletter is to share, in my opinion, what is Michael Jackson’s Greatest Legacy to the World and also to tell you the True Life Story of a girl named Charmaine….the feisty princess…
I think Michael Jackson is really a Great singer, and he has inspired so many, many, many people around the world with his songs, especially his “humanitarian” efforts for charity with some of his songs, such as “We Are the World” and “Heal The World”
Do you want to make a difference in the world?
Do you want to make the world a Better place?
How can you do it?
Actually, the answer is clearly stated in one of Michael Jackson’s Songs, the lyrics goes:
I See The Kids In The Street, With Not Enough To Eat
Who Am I, To Be Blind?
Pretending Not To See Their Needs…..
I've Been A Victim Of A Selfish Kind Of Love
It's Time That I Realize
That There Are Some With No Home, Not A Nickel To Loan
Could It Be Really Me, Pretending That They're Not Alone?
And No Message Could Have Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make The World A Better Place
Take A Look At Yourself, And Then Make A Change
Yes, if you want to make the world a better place, you need to change yourself first.
Nothing changes until and unless we make the change ourselves. Change the world by changing yourself.
In Singapore, there is a young and brave girl, fighting to stay alive…..she needs US$350,000 to seek the medical treatment that will give her a chance to Live…..
Yes, as Michael Jackson said:”we cannot pretend to be blind, not to see….”
But after knowing this, what are you going to do? Looking at the man in the mirror, what can you do? The more important question is, will you do something for her?
Looking at man in the mirror myself, here is what I will do for her. I’m conducting a full-day seminar “How to Save and Accumulate One Million Dollars” on 1 Aug 2009 (English Session). For everyone who attend this seminar which costs S$98 per pax (inclusive of Lunch, 2 tea breaks and course materials), S$20 will be donated to Charmaine’s Cause.
There are total of 100 tickets to the seminar, so total raised would be about S$2,000. I will top up with S$20 for each seat sold, so personally, I will donate an additional S$20 each.
So all attendees of the seminar, S$20 of the S$98 you pay will go to Charmaine’s Cause. And I will match donation of another S$20 per ticket sold…
You can register for the seminar and pay online here:
So far 43 tickets to the seminar have already been sold, or total of S$1,720 has already been raised (S$20 per ticket sale, and S$20 top up donation by Dennis for each ticket sold).
Of course, if you want to make a direct donation or if you want to do something else for Charmaine, you are encouraged to do so.
You can make a direct donation here:
Let me clarify, I do not know Charmaine nor her family personally. Just that now that I know their needs, I can no longer pretend to be blind and do nothing. Thanks, Michael Jackson, for helping me see this……this, to me, is his Greatest Legacy to the World….
