CPR can be a Matter of Life and Death...find out on 21 Nov 2009

Written by Dennis Ng on .

Have you learned CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) before? If you have not, if you have done so many years ago, I would urge you to attend and learn again. It might be the best thing you learn that might one day help you to save your loved ones or friend in an emergency.

Rasheed, a friend of mine who founded Singapore First Aid Training Centre, is conducting a Special 1-day CPR course cum Seminar on 21 Nov 2009 (Sat). Rasheed and his wife worked as paramedics before setting up the company 6 years ago.

During his course of work, there are many times when by the time the Paramedic arrived at the scene, the person has already passed away. The person might have survived if someone had done CPR on the person while waiting for the ambulance to arrive……this made him decided to resign from his job and to set up a company to teach First Aid Training, so that he can hope to save more lives in future. Rasheed’s mission is to save more lives by teaching First Aid Training. Similarly, you are in the position to help save lives if you attend this Seminar on 21 Nov 2009. What will be your decision?

Details are below.

"My True Hero" Full-day Seminar:

Date: 21 Nov 2009 (Sat)

Time: 9 am to 6 pm.
Venue: Singapore Expo Conference Hall A-F

You can click on this url to sign up and pay for the seminar: http://www.AsiaSeminarWorkshop.com/101-5.html

Usual CPR course costs about S$75. Imagine this seminar you can just pay S$75 for 2 persons, and Rasheed is giving his book “My True Hero” FREE to you as well. It’s an offer that Rasheed will not repeat in future.

A medical emergency is not a joke. It is very scary. You have about 5 minutes - to either help or watch a person die.

People take up first aid and CPR courses to prepare themselves. But no matter how skilled they are in class, they still get "paralysed"when faced with a life and death situation in their hands. Because first aid courses only teaches you what to do, but they don't tell you anything about how scary an emergency will turn out to be.

The fact is that no matter how much you love your family and loved ones right now, if you are unprepared for the nerve wrecking nature of an emergency, you will either freeze ... or react irrationally (an instinctive reaction called "fight or flight").

I can share with you from my years as a paramedic and attending to hundreds of cases how true this is. I've seen with my own eyes how family members just stand around doing nothing as their loved ones die before their eyes. All they can do is cry helplessly.

Being able to respond effectively in an emergency is a training on its own - yet no one has addressed this before. That is why I created the My True Hero program. During my paramedic days, it took me almost 1 full year of learning and practicing how to break the fear barrier so that I can respond effectively and do my job. Now, I have taken everything I learnt in that 1 year and condensed them into a one-day fully experiential program.

You will learn at an accelerated pace

- How to differentiate quickly the "RIGHTS" vs "WRONGS" in an emergency
- How to overcome stepping up before a crowd and perform effectively
- How to make a split second decision that decides between life and death
- How to stay calm, focused and undeterred during chaos and panic
- How to extract your inner capacity that will help you ACT IN SPITE OF FEAR

My True Hero is not designed to erase the fears - that will be impossible. But it is designed to help you ACT IN SPITE OF YOUR FEARS, DOUBTS AND ANXIETY, to feel these emotions and still do it anyway because someone else's life depended on it - the trait of a True Hero.

Just think of the people who matter the most to you. Would you give anything and everything for them if you could? Then just for them, give a day from your schedule to attend this program. Because this could be the most important thing you could ever do for them - to learn to save their lives. If they matter to you, then do whatever it takes to be there, no matter how long the program is or what it costs. You will be there.
